I am so excited to learn today that LA has approved a ban on plastic bags! This issue of over consumption of non-biodegradable materials HAS to stop, it is not sustainable, and plastics are laden with chemicals which - through out it's production and use, litter the environment with carcinogenic compounds poisoning everything it touches!
In celebration of this exciting new legislation, which will go into effect next year in LA - here is a simple DIY tutorial on how to make your own Tote Bag out of a T-Shirt! Get crafty with these simple steps, and upcycle an old shirt that was just sitting around anyway!
